[Walt looks down at Locke’s hand and pulls his arm away.]
LOCKE: What’s the matter?
WALT: Don’t open it.
LOCKE: What’d you say?
WALT: Don’t open it, Mr. Locke. Don’t open that thing.
LOCKE: What? What thing?
WALT: Just don’t open it.
Aunque la protagonista del episodio es Kate y su turbulento pasado (conocemos al propietario original de su avión de juguete y cómo termina el pobre muchacho), lo más interesante del episodio es una nueva entrega de la trama Walt es rarito. Primero, le advierte a Locke de que no abra «esa cosa», la escotilla, cuya existencia oficialmente no conoce. Después le dice a su padre que tienen que salir de la isla.
WALT: Dad.
MICHAEL: Hey, buddy.
WALT: Feeling better?
MICHAEL: Yeah, yep. I’m going to be alright. Hey, don’t worry. I’m going to be on my feet soon. We’ll be sailing home before you can even-
WALT: I’m the one that burned the raft. I didn’t want to leave and I thought I could stop you. I’m sorry. I’m really sorry, dad.
MICHAEL: Hey, it’s okay, man. We can stay here. You and me. We don’t have to go.
WALT: Yes we do.
